Taiwan - Proposal for Amendment to Legal Inspection of Motorcycle Tyres

The Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) intends to adopt the revised standard, CNS 4879:2017 on motorcycle tyres as the inspection standard. The revised standard remains mainly the same as the 2014 version, except that the requirement for the validity period of use and installation is added to Section 8. It is proposed that new motorcycle tyres that are more than 6 years from the date of manufacture will be deemed as non-compliant after 1 May 2018.
