Part of “About Interpretation of Ministerial Ordinance for Establishing Technical Requirements for Electrical Appliances and Materials” has been revised as of 3 April 2017.

METI issued a revision of the listing of J standards (Appendix 12). With the revision, 5 J standards are updated with new edition harmonized with the international standards to reflect the latest trend, 1 is newly adopted, and 7 expired standards have been abolished.

a) For adaption of new edition of standards harmonized with international standards（5）:

J60670-21(H29), J60670-22(H29), J61386-21(H29), J61386-22(H29), J61386-23(H29)

b) For adoption of new standards（1）:

C) For abolishment of standards due to the above a)（7）:

J60670-1(H20), J60670-21(H20), J60670-22(H20), J61386-1(H20), J61386-21(H20), J61386-22(H20), J61386-23(H20)

The new listing has been will be applied from 3 April 2017, with a transition period until 31 March 2020, during which it is permitted to apply the previously valid J standards or editions listed on the above C)
